In the official solution, what is the benefit of using fn.call(...) vs. just fn(item)?

The original question actually asked you to implement the second argument to .map, which would become the value there:

In this case the null is saying "we don't have a useful this, so null it for safety", but without an explaination it could probably just be fn(). Thanks for the feedback!
