Unable to install Copilot even though I am invited to technical preview

I downloaded 'GitHub.copilot-1.6.3450' and tried installing it on Windows 11. I have visual studio code but when I try to install, I get the following error. When I try to install it directly from the visual studio code using "extensions" under "settings", I get the error ' [error] The process tried to write to a nonexistent pipe: Error: The process tried to write to a nonexistent pipe at $r.resolveAuthority'

@mkotaru rather than downloading the vsix, could you please try installing Copilot via the extension marketplace. View -> Extensions; Search "copilot" -> Install.

@mkotaru it looks like you're trying to install the VSIX intended for Visual Studio Code manually into Visual Studio which is not supported at this time.
