Clone repo over https asks for password then nothing happens

New installation trying to clone my existing password repo.

I get the following in apache log files before I am asked to enter the password:

"GET /test/linuxpass.git/info/refs?service=git-upload-pack HTTP/1.1" 401

It makes sense as I've not entered the password yet, but once I enter the password, nothing happens, no error, no attempted connection in the apache log files.

When I try to sync the password store it says "Syncing Password Store" and doesn't go any further.

Nothing in more ever comes in the apache log files.

I've identified what was happening, my gitea server was configured to require users to sign in to be able to view the repo. Server was responding with a 401 Authorization Required over https.

passforios seems to expect the repo to be publicly accessible and wasn't able to realize that it should retry with credentials when faced with 401 Authorization Required on the initial connection attempt.
