See discussion at #880 (Fixes #880)

Only changed the index page, README, example 91, and spec latest -- left historical examples alone.

Thanks!

  • I'd leave the /spec/latest/json-ld/ dir alone. That's mainly there for historical reasons.
  • Similar with the extracted (or included?) bits in the /examples/syntax/ dir.
  • If you wanted to update the example in the current specs, head over to https://github.com/w3c/json-ld-syntax/ to make a PR.
  • It looks like the example leaked into many other files as well: https://github.com/search?q=repo%3Aw3c%2Fjson-ld-syntax%20lennon&type=code
  • I still think it would be better to use an updated or different example that avoids complications. Even something like switching from "spouse" to "birthPlace".

Followed suggestions and now just update the index.html and README.md files -- which are 99% of the viewer impressions.

Other examples can be created later, or further changed, definitely, but I'd like to advocate for json-ld to be used in the in-development next music notation encoding (MNX), but since it's a ''music'' project, it'd be great to get a fix in sooner rather than perfection later.

@mscuthbert thanks for the update!

However, to avoid all the entanglements with real people's lives, I'm considering changing this homepage example to...describe the homepage. 😄 Seems uncontroversial as well as a primary use case (SEO) for most folks exploring JSON-LD.

I do appreciate you caring about this, though, and I'd love to help you advocate for JSON-LD use in MNX (and beyond). 🚀
