@ulgens What do you think about switching to ruff format and ruff check --fix to replace isort/flake8/etc?

@ulgens Ultimately moving to pyproject.toml with setuptools_scm rather than setup.py, MANIFEST.in, and friends would be amazing too. I just haven't had the time to dive in.

@FlipperPA +1 for both. ruff would need some fine tuning about which rulesets to use but I can handle that next week. About the pyproject.toml migration tho, not sure when I'd have time for that but I could help to review and test if there is a PR.
