When a moderator moves a thread, clear outstanding reports against it

Quite often moderators are asked to move threads to another section (eg. a post in German to the German section).

Unfortunately this does not clear the moderator report, so the moderator then has to go and re-view the report and close it.

I suggest that if a thread is moved then any open moderator reports against this thread are closed, or at least have a checkbox on the "move thread" dialog (checked by default) to do this.

Moving a thread is a common action, and not clearing the report basically doubles the moderator workload.

I found around 30 moderator reports this morning, most of which were requiring threads to be moved to another language section (French, Spanish, German).

This is tedious work.

• First you have to click on the report to see why it was reported.
• Then you click on the link to the post so it can be moved
• Then you click on the Move button
• Then you select which sub-forum to move it to
• Then you find the original moderator report (now about 3 links back in the browser history)
• Then you click the Close report button
• Then you can look at another report.

You try doing that 30 times and you will soon lose interest.

I suggest a "fast move" method on the moderation report. For example a dropdown box that has the other forum sections populated, with a "Move reported thread" button next to it. We would select the language/forum section, click "Move" and have it move the thread and close the report. That would be much faster.
