Using Arduino IDE 1.8.10 hourly build 2019/07/23 / Arduino IDE 1.9.0-beta build 113, Windows 10 64 bit

  1. Open a sketch with multiple tabs (I'll refer to them as "tab A" and "tab B") in the Arduino IDE.
  2. Check File > Preferences > Display line numbers.
  3. Move the cursor on tab A to a different line number than the current cursor location on tab B.
  4. Switch from tab A to tab B. The line number shown at the bottom left corner of the Arduino IDE window still shows the line number from tab A.
