Unread notifications for spam repos

I have been tagged in some spam repos, and eventually they get taken down. However, on my notifications page, they still appear as unread and at the top of my list.

They also appear here too:

I had the same problem and found a solution in another discussion: https://github.com/orgs/community/discussions/174698#discussioncomment-14704249

Using GitHub CLI, gh api --method PUT /notifications cleared the stuck notifications for me. Hope this helps!
