This usually happens when your Copilot subscription and signed-in GitHub account don’t match — or when the payment processed but the license didn’t link correctly to your account. Try the following steps: Verify you’re signed into the exact GitHub account that was billed (check the invoice email or payment confirmation). Visit your billing page directly: If it still shows Copilot Free, click Manage and confirm the billing email/account at checkout matches your current login. Go to: Check if it says “Enabled for this account.” If not, toggle Copilot off and on again — it sometimes forces a sync. If the problem persists, open a billing ticket at: Include: GitHub username Invoice ID or transaction reference Charge date & amount Screenshot of billing/licensing page Support can manually re-link your paid Copilot Pro license to your account — this usually resolves the issue within 1–2 business days. ✅ Summary: It’s most likely a sync issue between your payment and account; contacting GitHub Billing with the proof of payment will fix it. |

Hi,
On the 27th August I paid $100 for a year of Copilot Pro. However, I don't seem to have access to it at all. https://github.com/settings/billing/licensing shows the active subscription as the Free tier
What is going on and how do I go about fixing it?
Thanks,
JJ
