From what I know, GitHub doesn’t have any option for users to publicly say they’re autistic (or anything similar) on their profile, and I’ve never seen any official stats about it either. 🤔 When companies like Microsoft or IBM collect this kind of data, it’s usually through separate research programs with consent not something tied to GitHub accounts. So for now, there’s no built in way to self disclose autism on GitHub, and no percentage based on GitHub users exists. 💛 Really good question and actually a thoughtful idea. 🥺 |

I noted that companies such as Microsoft (parent of GitHub) and IBM collect autism data from approving participants; considering that this option is available to Wikipedia editors, is there an option for GitHub users to self-disclose autism status and if so, what percentage of GitHub users self-disclose autism status?
