I am from Bangladesh. Someone wants to sponsor me, but they can't.

Is there any way to speed up the process or ask the support. How are you guys achieving this sponsorship from a third world country? Care to share with me please?

GitHub Sponsors is still relatively new and, unfortunately, the process of approving creators for the program has been slow for some users, especially in certain regions.

Make sure you meet all the criteria for GitHub Sponsors. You can find the guidelines here: GitHub Sponsors Eligibility

I’d also recommend reaching out directly to GitHub support to inquire about the status of your application.

If GitHub Sponsors is delayed, some creators in countries with limitations have turned to platforms like Patreon, Ko-fi, or Liberapay where sponsors can contribute without geographic restrictions. You could link these platforms from your GitHub profile as an alternative.

Some developers receive invitations to apply for GitHub Sponsors through GitHub's network. You could try reaching out to others in the community to see if they can invite you or if you’re eligible for any invitations.

The Sponsors program is not yet available in every country. Applications from regions where GitHub has no payout support remain in a pending state until GitHub expands coverage. That is why your sponsor page redirects to your profile instead of showing subscription options.

There is no way to speed this up from your side. The only step you can take is to keep your application active and wait until GitHub onboards Bangladesh into the program. If you want to confirm your status you can open a support ticket, but they will tell you the same thing.

In the meantime you could use alternative funding links in your profile README, for example PayPal, Patreon, or other platforms that are available in your country. You can add those links under Settings → Profile → Sponsorships → Add external funding links so people who want to support you still have a way.
