github.dev sign-in dialog not usable on mobile

Hi GitHub Support,

When I open a repository with github.dev on my phone, the “GitHub Repositories” extension asks to sign in, but the Authorize button is cut off and cannot be tapped.

Details:

• Repository: https://github.dev/tpoffice1/sp500-ohlc
• Device: Samsung Galaxy A14 5G (SM-A146U)
• Android: 15
• Browser: Brave (latest, based on Chromium)
• 2FA: turned off on my account
• Steps to reproduce:
  1. Open the above URL in Brave on mobile.
  2. Log in with username/password.
  3. After login, a dialog appears: “The extension ‘GitHub Repositories’ wants to sign in using GitHub.”
  4. The button to confirm is off-screen — cannot scroll or zoom to reach it.

The same URL works perfectly on desktop; the problem is only the small-screen layout of the sign-in dialog.

Please advise or fix so that github.dev is usable on mobile.

Thanks for reporting this!! it’s a known issue with the GitHub.dev mobile layout.

The sign-in dialog isn’t fully responsive on smaller screens, so buttons like “Authorize” can get cut off with no way to scroll. Unfortunately, GitHub.dev isn’t fully optimized for mobile devices yet.

Workarounds for now:

• Use desktop mode in your mobile browser (can often expose the full dialog).
• Or sign in on a desktop browser, then return to mobile, the session may carry over.
• Hopefully GitHub improves mobile support soon! You're definitely not alone in running into this.

Thank you. I appreciate that. I have tried those workarounds and they don't work for me. It doesn't matter whether I use Chrome or Brave or whether I use desktop view or not. It doesn't matter whether I'm signed in on the desktop or not. It's simply not possible to use the tool from a mobile device. Such a simple thing to fix today, especially with AI to help them, even if it's temporary. I don't understand why they can't do something about that.
