Hi every one. Previouse mail id of my organisation in git hub having lot of pipeline that are linked to adf. Now my organisation want me to change the mail id to company mail id.. now my problem in previous mail id has 3 contributers. If I change the update the new mail id and set as primary and remove the old one . Will my contributers are still bale to do merge operation will this new mail id get approvel access. Plz help me on this..

you're mixing up two different things, your personal email vs organization membership, changing your email won't affect:

1. Contributors' access to repos
2. Their ability to merge/approve
3. Existing permissions/roles

what actually matters:

• Organization membership (not email)
• Repository permissions
• Branch protection rules

you can add company email to your GitHub account, set it as primary then remove old email. Also make sure you're still a member of your org with the new email

ADF pipelines are linked to your GitHub account/username, not your email, they'll keep working

Then will I be able to assigned contributers for this updated organisation mail id after I have removed old mail id (same contributers of old mail id)..and set the organisation mail id as primary and also may keep the same contributers for this organization mail id. And what ever development they do now after changing the new organisation mail id will be able to receive approvals when they do merge or commit or will they need old mail id for confirmation after I removed it from then git?

After adding company email to your GitHub account, set it as primary then remove old email. 'Also make sure you're still a member of your org with the new email '
I can't be the member bcz I am keeping organisation mail id that only my organisation needed they want only 1 mail id as primary, no need any other mail id to add.. but they want to provide contributers . As per employee requirement.

your email change affects ONLY you and not your contributors, here's what happens:

1. contributors keep their own accounts (they use their own emails, not yours)
2. their permissions stay the same (merging/approvals work exactly as before)
3. you just change YOUR email (add company email, set as primary, remove old one)

the contributors don't need your old email for anything. They have their own GitHub accounts with their own emails, plus for organization membership you need to be added to the org with your new company email. Ask your org admin to add your GitHub account (with new email) to the organization & give you the same permissions you had before

ADF pipelines: still linked to your GitHub username so they'll work fine, your email change is purely personal but contributors' access is completely separate from your email address

Hey there! If you're just changing the email inside your existing GitHub account, you're totally safe. Your contributors won’t be affected, and you’ll retain all your permissions, commits, and approval rights.

Just go to Settings → Emails, add your new company email, verify it, and set it as primary. Then you can safely remove the Gmail account.

However, if you create a new GitHub account with your company email, that’s a different story—you’ll lose repo access and history unless you reassign everything from scratch.

So if possible, stick with the same account and just change the email.

I did updated the with new organisation mail id and removed my mail id from git..now the contributers that are set by old mail id is not able to make changes with mail id .. they are even giving setting option in repository can any one help me plz
