Is there a roadmap for when the view filters will reach parity with the issue searching/filtering capabilities in a repository (and the issues dashboard)?

The roll of the dice that is trying to create views in projects is an extremely frustrating hinderance to the adoption of projects as a true tool to manage work.

For example, the latest thing I found just straight up doesn't work in is involves:. This has been available in issues proper for years. I even see discussions here more than 3 years ago asking for this to be supported in projects views. Why is there still such a disconnect on this core functionality?

There's no public roadmap for when Project filters will match issue searching.

Why It's Not Working

The new GitHub Projects and the classic repository issues use two different technical systems. The Projects team is still working on adding all the old search features, like involves:, to the new system.

How to Help Get It Fixed

The best way to get this prioritized is to add your voice to the official feedback forum. The more users who request a feature, the more likely it is to be added.
