The PowerBI Github Copilot Metrics app started failing on 4/10 with the following error:

product_github_copilot_dev_metrics has failed to refresh.
Failure details: The last refresh attempt failed because of an internal service error. This is usually a transient issue. If you try again later and still see this message, contact support.

<ccon>DataSource.Error: Web.Contents failed to get contents from 'https://api.github.com/enterprises/my-fancypants-enterprise/settings/billing/advanced-security' (422): Unprocessable Entity. Microsoft.Data.Mashup.ErrorCode = 10117. DataSourceKind = Web. DataSourcePath = https://api.github.com/enterprises/my-fancypants-enterprise/settings/billing/advanced-security. Url = https://api.github.com/enterprises/my-fancypants-enterprise/settings/billing/advanced-security. </ccon>. The exception was raised by the IDbCommand interface.

Looks like github added a new parameter to that endpoint that is required.

Thanks for flagging this! We’ve confirmed that the /enterprises/{enterprise}/settings/billing/advanced-security endpoint now requires an advanced_security_product query parameter—either code_security or secret_protection—and omitting it results in a 422 Unprocessable Entity response. How to resolve

1. Add the required query parameter
   Use Power Query’s Web.Contents Query option to specify the product:

   Query = [ advanced_security_product = "code_security" ]
   

   This leverages the built‑in Query field to append URL parameters safely

2. Include the recommended headers

   Headers = [
     Authorization          = "Bearer " & "<YOUR_TOKEN>",
     Accept                 = "application/vnd.github+json",
     #"X-GitHub-Api-Version" = "2022-11-28"
   ]
   

   • Authorization: send your PAT or fine‑grained token in the Authorization: Bearer
   • Accept: set to application/vnd.github+json as recommended by GitHub docs
   • X-GitHub-Api-Version: pin to 2022-11-28 (or your preferred version) to avoid future breaking changes

Sorry that I need to conclude this but the dashboard really has stability issues. We can't use this to measure stuff. Is more development effort being delivered in to make this stable? Is it free time or officially GitHub?
