While struggling with "search notifications" recently, I've asked Copilot:
"Where can I find the specs of GitHub's search syntax, including notification search?"
It's pointed me to this URL:
https://docs.github.com/en/github/managing-subscriptions-and-notifications-on-github/viewing-your-notifications-from-github
However, that's a 404.
Even weirder is the conversational effort it takes for Copilot to explain just how to proceed with reporting a dead link to GitHub.
Amongst various generalisms, its more specific answers suggest to open a "discussion" (discuss what? a dead link? c'mon) at the community forum, or even to abuse the "Report abuse or spam" option for an issue as benign as an entirely non-abusive 404.
p. s. Although I've indeed ended up opening a "discussion" here, I'm far from confident that's the proper way of addressing issues in GitHub's documentation, or Copilot's comprehension thereof. This little odyssey doesn't exactly feel like user contribution to improving their GitHub experience was being appreciated. Does this ring any bells?
