The Linguist YAML list shows:

Shell:
  aliases:
  - sh
  - shell-script
  - bash
  - zsh
  - envrc

And the third party grammar index shows:

• Shell: atom/language-shellscript

All repositories under atom/ are archived and marked read-only, since Atom as an editor has been sunset on Dec 15, 2022.

It is time to move on, and use something new.

Already shell scripts are no longer showing any formatting when used in Markdown code fence blocks. This needs to be fixed ASAP.

Warp (the terminal app) has some nice syntax highlighting for shell commands:

Hopefully something similar could be found as a replacement for the grammar.
