While it is true that github does not natively support IPV6 addresses, you can use a NAT64 service that allows you to access IPv4 addresses from an IPv6 address if you don't have a dual stack setup. A lot of ISPs provide NAT64 services, but you can point your machine/router DNS to Cloudflare DNS for another free option: https://developers.cloudflare.com/1.1.1.1/infrastructure/ipv6-networks/ |

Thank you. The problem was solved after I configured the correct DNS. It seems that the network of the carrier I'm using doesn't have devices configured for NAT64 conversion. There's another issue. GitHub doesn't support the ECH protocol for DNS, which makes access difficult in some cases. |

ECH protocol support across all sites is sketchy right now, with only CDNs offering the most widespread support. Bottom line its about improving privacy which sounds like you are dealing with some sort of filter or monitoring issue. Sounds like a VPN is your best bet. |

Yes, if GitHub uses CDN acceleration like ECH or Cloudflare, it can bypass firewall filtering at zero cost. This is because, in addition to public CDN free acceleration, proxy servers and bandwidth traffic also require users to pay for them. |

It’s already 2025, yet GitHub, the main code repository, still doesn’t support IPv6. This seems quite unusual. It would be great to finally see native support, so there’s no need for workarounds. |

The repositories on GitHub don't support IPv6 connections, which makes it quite difficult for me to use because my ISP here only assigns IPv6 addresses.
