if I'm not mistaken, at the moment, repository management policies are not available in the REST API they are only exposed through the GraphQL API, and only if your organization is on GitHub Enterprise Cloud Enterprise governance objects in GraphQL let you inspect and enforce policies such as repository creation restrictions and naming rules, but these fields aren’t available in REST yet so yes, the only way is to file a request or you have that Enterprise |

@patrick-knight as you made the original announcement could you please respond to this request? Given the recent related functionality (custom properties & rulesets stand out) is available in the REST API the omission of these endpoints doesn't quite make sense. |
